From sketch to perspective: preserve the design intent
Choose references and descriptions that explore materials and lighting while retaining design control.

Choose a clear source
Use a sketch or model view that clearly shows the proportions and composition to preserve. Mark boundaries, openings and fixed areas. Separate material references from massing references to avoid contradictory instructions.
Describe a specific change
Specify material, lighting conditions and visual focus instead of a string of adjectives. For example: preserve the form, explore a matte metal facade and morning light. Compare each variation with the source to identify unintended changes.
Review before presenting
Reject images with altered openings, discontinuous elements or inconsistent human scale. Record details to develop in the drawings. Select the image that supports a design decision, not only the most striking one.
