Video: from a shot list to a reviewable edit
Prepare shots, arrange the timeline and check continuity before publication.
Start with a shot list
For each shot, record the subject, action, viewpoint and message. Prepare assets you are entitled to use and choose the aspect ratio for the delivery channel. Separate mandatory requirements from stylistic choices.
Edit to review the narrative rhythm
Arrange shots on the timeline, preview cuts and remove shots that add no information. Check consistency of subjects, movement direction and lighting. Do not retain an attractive shot if it interrupts the narrative.
Review the final cut
Watch the full video with audio on the target device. Check cropped text, subtitle readability and narration timing. Keep source assets and the edit for revisions; verify available export options before committing to a delivery format.
